Final Paper

Abstract (1 paragraph) [This is one of the last sections you will do]

  • One paragraph explaining what you did and what you found.

Narrative Hook (2 to 3 paragraphs)

  • Two to three paragraphs explaining why researched this topic. What connected you to this project? Include your essential question and how you came to pick it.

Literature Review (4 to 6 paragraphs)

  • Five sources minimum discussing what other researchers have learned and done on your topic or field.
  • Who has done your kind of research already?
  • What were their conclusions?

Method (4 to 6 paragraphs)

  • What did you do that helped answer your essential question and allow you to conclude what you concluded?
  • What source/resource was most valuable? Why?
    • Internships / Interviews / Survey data / Mentors

Findings/Remaining questions (4 to 6 paragraphs)

  • Did your question change during the course of your research?
  • What conclusions can you draw from your research?
  • What new patterns emerged from your research?
  • What remaining questions do you have for your topic?

Conclusions (1 paragraph)

  • Summary of work

Works Cited Page (MLA list of all sources used in your research)

Appendix (all surveys and interview questions used in research)
